Masoor Dal

Masoor dal is an important part of in Indian. It is basically split red colour lentil without skin. Use masoor to make dal, the traditional Indian dish. Boil the masoor dal to a stew-like consistency with vegetables and then season with a mixture of spices. Serve with paratha, rice and rotis. Masoor dal can be used to prepare nutritious soup. Can be combined with rice, spices and vegetable to prepare khichdi. Puree cooked masoor dal with your favourite herbs and spices and serve as a side-dish. Masoor dal is high in proteins and essential amino acids. Masoor dal is also contains dietary fibre, folate, vitamin B1 and minerals. Masoor dal are a good source of potassium and iron.
