Palak Kofta Curry RecipePalak Kofta Curry Recipe is a healthy, tasty and a perfect side dish with roti. Palak kofta curry is a curry made with deep fried vegetable balls in spinach gravy curry.

For Kofta:—- –

  • Potato (boil and mash) – 2 nos.
  • Bread Slices – 4 nos.
  • Chopped Onion – 1 nos.
  • Chopped Green Chili – 2-3 nos.
  • Garam Masala – 1/2 tbsp
  • Dry Mango Powder – a pinch
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste –
  • Oil for frying –

For Curry:—- –

  • Finely Chopped Spinach/Palak – 4 cup
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Finely Chopped or Paste Onion – 2 nos.
  • Grated Ginger – 1/2 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tbsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala – 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste –
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp


  • For making kofta:—- In a bowl, add water and dip the bread, squeeze the extra water.
  • In a bowl, add bread, mashed potatoes, onions, green chili, coriander leaves, garam masala, dry mango powder and salt, mix well.
  • Make small balls and press it tightly and then shape into ball.
  • Heat the oil in a pan for deep frying on medium heat, add potato-bread ball.
  • Fry it till the ball turns little golden brown and keep aside.
  • For making curry:—- Heat the oil in a pan on medium flame, add palak and little sugar, fry for 3-4 min.
  • Cook it till it becomes soft and allow it to cool.
  • In a grinder, add cooked the palak and make a smooth paste.
  • Heat the oil in a pan on edium flame, add onions and ginger.
  • Fry it till the onions turns little golden brown.
  • Add the palak paste, salt, chili powder, dry mango powder, garam masala and turmeric powder, mix well.
  • Let the contents boil for a while and add the milk slowly stirring it continuously.
  • Now boil it till becomes thick and creamy.
  • Add fried kofta ball and cook it till curry becomes thick.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot palak kofta curry with roti/paratha/rice.
